  • Department of Retail Management created a web portal sites.google.com/view/retailmanagement to communicate and send the documents and academic notes to students, also brings information from diverse sources, like emails, online forums and search engines, together in a uniform way. Portals provide a way for enterprises and organizations and students to provide a consistent "look and feel" with access control and procedures for multiple applications such as job role, departmental activities and the information of different retail components such as Gandola, Display racks etc.
  • Department of Retail Management created a Common group “bgcbvocrm@gmail.com” on Gmail to communicate and send the documents with all faculty members.
  • Department of Retail Management also created a WhatsApp group “B.Voc(Retail Management)” for staff and students so that all the staff and students will share their information with each other.
  • Collected the information of 29 students such as Academic, Email ID, Contact number, Adhar number, Category wise, Caste wise information of F.Y. B.Voc(Retail Management).
  • Retail Management department has been given updated information to the students regarding job roles in retail management, career opportunity in retail sector.
  • Retail Management department has organized seminar on Carrier Guidance in retail sector through which students come to know their strengths and weaknesses and how they have to develop themselves to grab the opportunities in the corporate sector.
  • Students were sent to Job Fair at our college(B.G.College) for Mega Campus Drive.

  1. Industrial Visit

Retail Management department conducted the Industrial Visit to F.Y. B.Voc(R.M.) students in “CottonKing Retail Store” in Aundh, Pune on 25th October 2018.

The purpose of Industrial visit is to give greater clarity about various management concepts for students as they can practically see how these concepts are put into action. Visits to retail store are useful for students to understand the nuances and realities of the shopfloor, which in itself is a rare exposure. By visiting the shop floor they get to understand the risky conditions in which workers work, the people management challenges involved in managing workers apart from getting hands-on technical knowledge.
